29 Mars – The 57th 3AF International Conference on Applied Aerodynamics - AERO2023

08 h ENSAM - Esplanade des Arts et Métiers -33405 TALENCE, France

March 29-30-31 Ensam Bordeaux

The 3AF International Conference on Applied Aerodynamics is an annual event organised by the French Aeronautics and Aerospace Society (3AF) at French venues between researchers of all nations leading an activity in aeronautics or aerospace.

It is an excellent opportunity for scientific exchanges between researchers from industry, research institutions and academia. Researchers from other fields are also welcome as the current theme englobes the whole transport and energy sector.

The 3AF Applied Aerodynamics Conference addresses each year a burning topic in the field of aerodynamics. It is organized on the basis of five sessions, each introduced by a keynote speaker in the field covered by the session. In 2023, the conference will focus on high-speed aerodynamics which is characterised by strong or extreme compressibility effects giving rise to specific phenomena, such as shock waves, and influencing many aspects of the flow field such as transition, turbulence, heat transfer, etc. The conference will deal both with external and internal aerodynamics. The experimental, theoretical, numerical aspects, from fundamental research to industrial applications will be addressed. This conference will consider problems encountered in the aeronautical and space industry (both military and civil) but not excluding other fields such as energy production, transportation, etc.

This 57th Edition hosted by ENSAM (Bordeaux) intends to gather experts in diverse fields to share their perspectives on High speed aerodynamics, from transonic to hypersonic.
