TIFC : Thermal Imaging Field Characterization

The main fields of application are those involving energy conversion and storage. These studies with a strong experimental character are intended to be quantitative, in particular through inverse methods, and will lead to the understanding, characterization and multi-scale analysis of these systems.

Our team

Photo Equipe
  • full professors/ researchers
  • PhD students
  • 2 post-doctorate
  • 1 apprentice-engineer

3 main research axes are developed within the team:

  • Multispectral IR tomography for the study of multiphysical problems (MIRIT)
  • Development of data analysis and processing methods (IRMA)
  • Photothermal micro and nanoscopy (MINT)
    Organisation TIFC

In addition to advanced instruments, a work of valorization is carried out through patent applications and the creation of numerous start-ups (Thermoconcept, NeTHIS) and innovation platforms (Fahrenheit).
