M. Giuseppe Sciumè

Maître de Conférences à l'Université de Bordeaux

Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Giuseppe Sciumè received his Laurea Specialistica in Civil Engineering (Structural Design) from Padua University with the grade of 110/110, in 2009. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2013, within the context of a joint doctorate between University of Padua and ENS Cachan. After Ph. D. studies, he had a post-doctoral grant in Padua where he spent one year, then in 2014 he obtained a position of assistant professor (non-tenured) at the University of Salento (Lecce). Since 2015 he is Maître de Conference (associate professor) at the Institut de Mécanique et d’Ingénierie (UMR CNRS 5295) of Bordeaux, where he is member of the porous media team

Research

Research interests are in mechanics of cement-based materials (HTM behavior, creep, damage, creep-damage coupling), tumor growth modeling, and, more generally, in numerical modeling of heat and mass transport in deforming porous medium systems. Researchgate page
